REDCap Data

Overview

The following is a brief guide for exporting data to provide to one of our Biostatisticians for analysis.

There are two steps.

Step 1: Download the deidentified data

  1. Navigate to ‘Data Exports, Reports, and Stats’ (under the ‘Applications’ subheading)
  2. Select ‘Export Data’ (typically, this for row ‘A’ ‘All data’)
  3. Select ‘CSV … (raw data)’
  4. Select ‘Remove All Identifier Fields’ *(these are rarely needed)
  5. Select ‘Export Data’

Part 1

Then, click the icon to begin the download.

Part 2

Step 2: Download the data dictionary

  1. Navigate to ‘Dictionary’ (under the ‘Project Home and Design’ subheading)
  2. Click ‘Download Data Dictionary’ (a .csv download will begin)

Part 3

If you do not have access to these settings, you will need to contact the REDCap project administrator for your project.
